How Our Marketing Strategy for a Remodeling Company Drove 500+ Rankings and 64% More Leads
We focus on turning underused remodeling websites into reliable, repeatable lead machines. Through local remodeling SEO, smart content, and technical clean-up, we aim to earn top rankings in the right areas and convert that visibility into real project inquiries.
Company
Overview
This client is a design-build remodeling firm serving homeowners across the Oklahoma City metro area. Founded in 2012, they offer a full range of services, including kitchens, bathrooms, whole-home remodels, and specialty attic conversions. They originally operated from a suburban location in Edmond before moving into a more central OKC office as demand grew. We began working together in late 2020, when they reached out with a clear problem: strong reputation offline, but a website and local presence that weren’t generating the visibility or leads they should.
The Challenge
By the time they came to us in late 2020, the company had been in business for years but had almost no meaningful search visibility. The website was outdated, thin on content, and not structured around how homeowners actually search for remodeling services in their area. They were also competing in a growing metro market while planning to expand their service area, but their local SEO, Google Business Profile, and citations weren’t set up to support that kind of growth.
The strategy
We started by treating this as a full rebuild of their digital foundation. That meant redesigning the site around core services and locations, tightening technical SEO, and aligning everything with how homeowners actually search for remodelers in the OKC metro. At the same time, we cleaned up and expanded their local presence so the move from suburb to city and their growing list of service areas was fully reflected online.
- Optimized site structure, internal linking, and on-page elements for both users and search engines
- Overhauled and optimized their Google Business Profile to meet best practices for local visibility
- Built and refined a keyword set of hundreds of terms across the main city and surrounding suburbs and neighborhoods
- Created and expanded location-focused content to support their growing metro-wide service area
- Supported their physical move into the city with a structured local SEO migration (GBP, citations, and on-site updates)
- Continuously updated content and targeting as they added new services and shifted focus to higher-value projects
- Collaborated with their team on an updated visual identity and new site design that better matched their brand and positioning
Results
Within the first year, the site went from barely appearing in search to ranking across hundreds of remodeling keywords tied to their core services and priority locations. Over time, that footprint grew to 500+ tracked keywords, with a strong share of them sitting in the top 10 positions for kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, whole-home projects, and attic conversions across the OKC metro. Organic traffic followed the same trajectory, shifting from a trickle into a consistent, month-over-month growth pattern that mirrored their expanded service area.
More importantly, lead quality and volume improved in a way the team could feel in their calendar. Inquiry forms, calls, and consultation requests coming from organic search rose significantly, with a clear tilt toward full-scale remodeling projects instead of smaller repair work. When they switched locations, performance held and then strengthened. The migration was completed without losing visibility, and new city-focused and neighborhood-focused pages began generating additional higher-value project opportunities.
Traffic and engagement growth
Over the course of our work together, organic traffic grew steadily, ultimately more than doubling compared to the baseline we saw in late 2020. GA4 data showed that visitors were also far more engaged once they arrived: time on site increased, service pages saw higher scroll depth, and key conversion paths (contact, consultation, and quote requests) were used more frequently. Instead of random visits spread thinly across the site, most traffic began concentrating around core remodeling services and priority locations, giving the client a healthier mix of both volume and intent.
Performance at a glance
Here’s how the numbers stacked up after the strategy had time to settle in:

Conclusion
This case shows how much impact a structured local remodeling digital marketing strategy can have when a firm already does strong work but lacks visibility. By rebuilding the site around clear services and locations, expanding and refining the keyword set, and managing a clean local migration during an office move, we were able to push for better engagement and a higher volume of qualified leads.
